We’re grounded—and here’s how I can help you (and us)

Hey, it's Mark.

Yesterday was a punch in the gut. Twice.

First, the battery in our only car died. That set us back nearly $280.

Then the brakes started grinding. Not good.

The original estimate? $1,413 to replace all four rotors and brake pads.
(Apparently, they don’t grind rotors anymore—they only replace them.)

At the time, we had $741 to our name.
😨 That was a scary moment.

So we went with the bare minimum: just the front brakes for $424, which should keep us driving for another couple of weeks.

That leaves us with $317 total.
😬 Even scarier.

Without our car, we can’t drive for Uber, which is how we keep income flowing while I grow my coaching business.

But… we’re trusting in the process. 🙏

This is going to make for an incredible story when we come out the other side.

So today, I’m doing something I rarely do:

Hey, Reader! If your to-do list feels like a never-ending dumpster fire of random tasks, you’re probably making the single biggest mistake possible: You have one giant catch-all list. Stop. That’s chaos disguised as productivity. Here’s the system that actually works (the same one I’ve used for years and still swear by): Create separate, smart lists instead of one monster list. Shopping – one list per store Walmart, Costco, Trader Joe’s, pharmacy – whatever you actually shop at. Bonus: share...

Hey, Reader! Overwhelm isn't a sign you're failing—it's a signal something needs to shift. These seven habits have carried me through the busiest seasons, and they still work because they're simple, repeatable, and rooted in how God actually wired us for rest, joy, and rhythm. Prioritize real sleep Your brain and soul need 7–9 hours of consistent rest. Same bedtime, same wake time—even on weekends. When we're exhausted, everything feels heavier than it is. God built a rhythm of work and rest...

Hey, Reader! Your phone is winning. It pings, it glows, it steals hours you’ll never get back. Here are the four moves that actually work in 2025. I’ve used every one of them for years. They still work better than any new app or “focus mode” gimmick. Clear your home screen completely. Leave only your wallpaper showing. Nothing in the dock if you can stand it (I keep four essentials). First thing you see when you unlock? A photo that makes you smile — your dog, your kid, a sunset — not a wall...
