“I’m Too Busy” is a Red Flag

We all say it.

“I’m too busy.”

It’s become the adult version of “my dog ate my homework”—a catch-all excuse that feels true… but often hides what’s really going on.

Recently, someone told me they were too busy to do something that would’ve taken them less than 30 seconds. (Not work-related. Just a small, daily moment of connection.)

That hit me like a brick of burnout.

Because let’s be honest:

If we’re too busy for 30 seconds of anything—especially something light, fun, or fulfilling—then something is deeply misaligned.

“I’m too busy” usually means one of three things:

  • “I’ve lost control of my calendar.”
  • “I’ve forgotten how to prioritize joy.”
  • “I’m letting urgency devour what really matters.”

And hey, I’ve been there. We all have. But that phrase is a signal… not a badge of honor.

Let me ask you:

🟠 What are you too busy for right now that actually matters?
🟠 And what can you say no to so you can say yes to that?

This is your chance to choose clarity over chaos.
