Is Your Battery Running Low?

Hey, it's Mark.

On a recent morning, I should have been out driving for Uber. But when I got into the car, the dashboard hit me with a little surprise:

“Low Battery.” 🪫

Now, I could’ve ignored it and hoped for the best. But the risk? I’d be stranded mid-shift—or worse—stuck somewhere post-bathroom break with a car that won’t start. So, I delayed my day to take care of it.

And it got me thinking...

We don’t have dashboard alerts on our foreheads. But we do have warning signs when our energy is low.

And yet? Most people ignore them.

They burn the candle at both ends. Push through headaches, snap at loved ones, forget to eat, skip sleep, and act like it’s some badge of honor to hustle non-stop.

But here’s the thing: your body is talking to you.
And if you keep ignoring the signals… that “low battery” can become something much worse.

⚠️ Here are 5 warning lights to watch for:

  1. You’re snapping at people for things that wouldn’t normally bother you.
  2. Your brain feels foggy, even after coffee.
  3. You skip meals or eat junk because you’re “too busy.”
  4. Sleep is inconsistent, or you wake up already exhausted.
  5. You're grinding through the day, but not really getting anywhere.

Sound familiar?

Rest isn’t weakness.
Recharging is a productivity strategy.

You don't need to go full-throttle every single day of the year. You’re allowed to pause. You’re allowed to just be.

So if your dashboard is flashing red—whether it’s mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual—it’s time to slow down, fuel up, and reset.

I replaced my car battery.
But your “battery”? It’s not that simple.
And ignoring it could cost you your focus, your momentum, or even your health.

Please—pay attention to the signs.
